AVM launches Docsis 3.1 router in Germany

AVM announced that its first Docsis 3.1 router, the Fritz!Box 6591, is now available in stores in Germany, for a recommend price of EUR 269. The router was first trialed last year on Unitymedia's network in Bochum. Since then, both Unitymedia and Vodafone Germany have expanded gigabit broadband with the Docsis 3.1 upgrade in several cities.
