Axtel, AT&T and Telmex renew Mexico 3.5GHz rights - report

Tuesday 22 October 2019 | 14:19 CET | News
Mexican telecommunications regulator IFT has allowed the operators Axtel, AT&T and Telmex (America Movil) to renew three blocks of 5G-ready spectrum in the 3.5GHz band, reports business daily El Economista. The three 50MHz nationwide WiMAX licences were first awarded back in 1998 and 1999 and the regulator last month granted applications submitted by the three operators to renew their concessions, each of which will run for another 20 years starting on 01 January 2020.
