Axtel picks Edgility for enterprise CX implement
Mexican wireline operator Axtel has implemented Telco Systems' edge computing platform Edgility to launch an overhauled customer experience platform for enterprise customers, driving service differentiation. Axtel's team worked closely with Telco Systems to deliver a containerised CX platform that can be used to monitor link quality through real-time performance insights and advanced analytics, powered by edge computing capabilities.

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel reported revenues of MXN 3.27 billion in the final quarter of 2025, up 1 percent year on year, thanks mainly to a 14 percent rise in government revenues, offsetting declines of 3 percent and 5 percent in the corporate and wholesale segments. The company's fourth quarter EBITDA fell 31 percent to MXN 833 million due to an extraordinary year-earlier provision, while cash flow rose to USD 40 million.

Axtel revenues up 7% in Q3 on growing wholesale and enterprise demand

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel reported revenues of MXN 3.06 billion in the third quarter of 2025, up 7 percent year on year, fuelled by a 30 percent increase in infrastructure segment revenues, reflecting strong demand for data transport and data centre connectivity. The company's third quarter EBITDA also climbed 7 percent to MXN 906 million, its operating income surged 39 percent to MXN 367 million while net debt declined 8 percent to USD 488 million.

Axtel debuts Queretaro-Texas fibre link

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel has announced the activation of a new cross-border route linking Queretaro with Texas. The 1,100 kilometre expansion is designed to meet the soaring demand among national and international cloud and content providers as well as other corporate clients for high-capacity, low-latency connections, said Axtel.

Axtel revenues up 11% in Q2 on surging govt, wholesale spending

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel reported revenues of MXN 3.03 billion in the second quarter of 2025, up 11 percent year on year, driven by soaring government and enterprise sales attributed in part to growing capacity demand for AI projects. The company's second quarter EBITDA rose 17 percent to MXN 962 million, its net profit came in at MXN 396 million, compared to a MXN 466 million loss a year earlier, while net debt declined 13 percent to USD 476 million.

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel reported revenues of just over MXN 3.0 billion in the first quarter of 2025, up 13 percent year on year, driven by surging enterprise and government sales. The company's EBITDA fell 4 percent to MXN 923 million due to higher personnel expenses and tower rentals, while net debt declined 20 percent to USD 471 million.

Axtel revenues rise 18% to five-year high in Q4

Mexican operator and ICT services provider Axtel reported revenues of MXN 3.3 billion in the final quarter of 2024, up 18 percent year on year and the best result since 2019 thanks to higher business and government activity in the wake of the previous year's organisational restructure. The company's EBITDA grew 7 percent to MXN 1.2 billion thanks to improved revenues coupled with a reduction in expenses, while the margin rose by 1 percentage point to 32 percent.

The offering combines SD-WAN technology with security capabilities such as FWaaS, CASB, DLP, SWG, and ZTNA into a unified, cloud-based service, said the partners.

Saudi ICT infrastructure company Tawal has signed an agreement with Netherlands-based 5Skye for the deployment of 5Skye's 5G AI micro edge data centres. The partnership will enable industries nationwide to adopt intelligent applications that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and drive growth. It will support use cases such as IoT-driven CCTV AI analytics, digital advertising, and edge compute/MEC for sectors such as public safety, logistics, retail and industrial automation, as well as smart cities.

Ekinops targets edge network upgrades with new 100G pluggable module

French vendor Ekinops has launched a 100G coherent pluggable module powered by its wide-division multiplex optical transport system Ekinops360. Module PM 100HDF01 has been designed to address network edge migrations from 10G to 100G. While it can also handle long haul links reaching thousands of kilometres, the module mainly caters to broadband access at the telco edge, as well as foe 5G mobile, edge computing, and edge AI use cases.
