BBned realizes strong growth
The Dutch wholesale DSL provider BBned published good results over 2002 and expects strong growth in 2003. The revenue in 2002 grew substantially with factor 20 and the order volume increased with a factor 10. In December 2002 BBned realized a positive cash flow. BBned expects a strong growth of new ADSL connections is 2003. The DSL market will grow with 350,000 connections in the consumer market and with 75,000 connections in the business segment, it said. BBned, backed by Telecom Italia, delivers DSL products via 65 partners. In 2003 it wants to achieve a market share of 9% with more than 80,000 DSL-lines, second after KPN. This suggests that the total DSL market at the end of 2003 in the Netherlands will consist of 880,000 DSL-connections.
