Belgacom, Swisscom Fixnet joint venture BICS started
As of 1 July BICS (Belgacom International Carrier Services), the joint venture of Belgacom and Swisscom Fixnet started. On 23 February 2005 both companies signed an agreement to combine their international carrier businesses into a joint venture. Belgacom owns 72 percent and Swisscom Fixnet 28 percent of shares in BICS. The new company will has its headquarters in Belgium, and offices in Bern, Dubai, New York and Singapore.
