BlackBerry aims for number 3 platform position by next year

BlackBerry 10 will grow next year to be the third mobile platform, after Android and iOS, according to Christophe Lefort, VP & General Manager Western Europe at BlackBerry. While acknowledging that BlackBerry 10 still needs to prove itself, Lefort said in an interview with Telecompaper that the system will grow in part thanks to use on systems other than mobile devices, for example through in-car systems. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins earlier underlined that BlackBerry 10 will be the platform for mobile computing, where interaction between people and systems is central. The device itself
