BlackBerry sets up new cyber security R&D division called BlackBerry Labs

Global security software and services provider BlackBerry has announced the creation of a new business unit focusing on cyber security R&D called BlackBerry Advanced Technology Development Labs (BlackBerry Labs). 

BlackBerry Labs is led by CTO Charles Eagan and has a team of over 120 software developers, researchers, architects, product leads and security experts. Initial projects will focus on machine learning approaches to security in partnership with BlackBerry's QNX, Enterprise and Cylance business units.
