Papua New Guinea operator Bmobile has announced that it officially terminated its cooperation agreement with Vodafone on 01 May, The National reported. Bmobile and Vodafone first entered into the cooperation agreement in April 2014. The agreement covered five years during which Bmobile traded as Bmobile-Vodafone in both Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
There have been several stages to ensure the brand integrity of both Bmobile and Vodafone are maintained, Bmobile stated. The operator said that the Top Kads and SIM cards currently in circulation and on sale in PNG and the Solomon Islands, which still carry the Bmobile-Vodafone logo or references to Vodafone and its proprietary marks, are still valid and operative. By mutual consent, this ends the companies' partnership agreement in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
