Bouygues Telecom launches new fixed broadband plans, 4K STB, 'guaranteed internet' pledge

Bouygues Telecom will refresh its fixed broadband proposition on 23 April with the introduction of three new plans replacing its current Bbox offering. As part of this announcement, the operator has also officially launched an enhanced STB supporting 4K content and has integrated a ‘guaranteed internet’ pledge within its fixed broadband offering, based on a back-up of 60 GB of 3G/LTE data.

With the refreshed proposition, the entry-level Bbox Fit plan is priced from EUR 22.99/month and bundles ADSL/VDSL access with an unlimited call allowance (towards fixed lines in France and 110 countries). The other two new plans, Bbox Must and Bbox Ultym, offer triple-play packages for a monthly subscription starting from EUR 32.99 and EUR 37.99 respectively, including FTTH broadband access subject to coverage.

The 4K-compatible STB will be offered as standard with the new Bbox Ultym package, after the operator pre-launched it for a limited number of customers during the fourth quarter of 2017. An enhanced version of the current Android Miami STB, it will give FTTH customers access to two 4K channels included within the Bbox Ultym TV offering.

All three packages will be advertised at launch with a special promotion available until 27 May, giving a discount on the monthly subscription during the minimum contract period of twelve months.

The new ‘guaranteed internet’ pledge will offer new subscribers the possibility to borrow a 3G/LTE internet key including up to 60 GB of mobile data (valid until the installation of the fixed service). This option will also be available to customers moving house or experiencing a network outage.
