Brazilian actress launches MVNO

Brazilian actress Larissa Manoela has launched Lari Cel, a new MVNO with prepaid plans starting from BRL 25 without loyalty contract, reports Tecmondo. The new operator is the result of a partnership with Dry Company and Surf Telecom, and uses the mobile network of TIM Brasil.

Customers can also take part in contests and raffles offering prizes including trips to Orlando.

French retailer Carrefour is planning to launch its own MVNO in Brazil and has teamed up with MVNE Surf Telecom as a partner on the project, according to documents seen by Tecnoblog. Carrefour Chip will use TIM Brasil's mobile infrastructure and offer three plans: 3 GB and 100 minutes for BRL 29.90, 5 GB and unlimited minutes for BRL 39.90, and 10 GB with unlimited minutes for BRL 49.90.

Brazilian retailer Pernambucanas launched its own MVNO and started sales of its Sim card in over 400 stores, reports Tele.sintese. The new operation is based on services provided by Surf Telecom.
