The BritBox streaming venture of ITV and the BBC has launched for business, offering a collection of British boxsets for GBP 5.99 a month in HD and across multiple devices.

BritBox has agreed a multi-year deal with Channel 4 for British TV boxsets from All 4 and British films from Film4. The deal will see more than 1,000 hours of content from All 4 available to BritBox users from spring 2020. New series will be available 31 days following broadcast of the last episode on Channel 4. Film4 will follow later in 2020.

BritBox has also agreed a new partnership with BT, including EE as exclusive mobile partner. BT will create a range of offers and products featuring BritBox access for customers across its services and brands, with more information about these to be available in the coming months.

Samsung will be the first TV to launch the BritBox app, with a co-marketing partnership featuring BritBox as a 'Recommended App' on Samsung Smart TVs. There will also joint marketing activity in Q4 2019 to capitalise on the key Black Friday and Christmas sales season for TV devices.
