If the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) or the Christian Democrats (CDA) are chosen in the government the roll-out of a nation-wide broadband network will be stimulated by the government, according to the parties election programs. The Liberal Party (VVD) does not mention broadband in their program. The smaller left wing parties GroenLinks, D66 and SP want the government to pay for the roll-out of a broadband network. Pim Fortuyn's List (LPF) also want stimulation by the government and Livable Netherlands (Leefbaar Nederland) promise free broadband for everybody. All parties want to use internet to open up all free and non-secret government information to the Dutch citizens and VVD, LPF and SP want to start with e-voting (voting by e-mail or internet).
