BSkyB has inked a deal worth over GBP 49 million with Virgin Media Business for backhaul network capacity. The network of Virgin Media Business will connect around a third of Sky's unbundled local exchanges with Sky's own nationwide broadband network. The five-year contract with Virgin Media will see the core of the network in place by the end of this year. Each of the connections will deliver speeds of up to 10 Gbps through Virgin Media Business' High Capacity Services product.
