BSkyB reports nine-month revenue up 5% to GBP 5.08 bln
British Sky Broadcasting has reported revenue of GBP 5.08 billion for the nine months to 31 March, up 5 percent year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA was up 13 percent to GBP 1.16 billion, with adjusted operating profit up 15 percent to GBP 908 million. Total quarterly net product growth was 904,000 to reach a total of 27.7 million. It added 78,000 net new households in the last quarter to reach 10.55 million customers, of which of which 281,000 are standalone broadband customers. Triple-play customers reached 3.2 million at end-March, up 24 percent year-on-year, with Sky claiming this is the largest base of triple-play customers in the UK. It registered a record 702,000 net broadband, telephony and line rental product additions in the quarter, including 212,000 broadband, 220,000 telephony and 270,000 line rental net new customers. Total broadband products reached 3.86 million at end-March, with 3.63 million telephony, 3.38 million line rental, 2.38 million Multiroom, 4.22 million HD and 10.27 million products at end-March. ARPU was GBP 546. The Sky Go service reached 2.6 million unique users in the third quarter, with over 5 million Sky customers now accessing on-demand content through Anytime+.
