British Telecommunications announced it is going to offer over 19 million customers unlimited free UK calls at evenings and weekends from January 7 2002. The charge for the new package, called BT Together, with unlimited UK calls, will be 18.50 stg (EUR 29.15) a month, including line rental, unlimited free evening calls to all land line national and local numbers and discounted rates at other times. The charge for BT Together with unlimited UK and surf calls will be 23.50 stg (EUR 37.02) per month including line rental, unlimited free evening calls to all land line national and local numbers plus unlimited off peak Internet calls (to SurfTime numbers) and discounted rates at other times. The unlimited UK calls package provides for every BT customer over 4000 hours of free national calls within the flat monthly fee.
