Carlyle completes acquisition of Sagemcom

Private equity firm Carlyle Group said it has finalised its acquisition of French set-top box maker Sagemcom from the Gores Group. Carlyle said that it now owns 70 percent of Sagemcom, with company management and employees holding the remaining 30 percent. No financial terms were disclosed. The companies confirmed talks on the acquisition in June, while French media reports suggested that Carlyle could pay less than EUR 500 million for the company.
