CBS and AT&T end carriage dispute with multi-year deal

US broadcaster CBS and operator AT&T agreed a new, multi-year carriage deal, ending a dispute which saw CBS local content, sports and the Smithsonian Channel disappear from the operator's DirecTV platform in July. The agreement includes retransmission consent for all 26 CBS-owned stations in 17 markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Tampa, Seattle, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Denver, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
