
China Telecom added the most new mobile subscribers in China in March this year, growing by around 5.23 million to a total of 356.25 million. Market leader China Mobile added more than 2.42 million customers in March, after losing 3.7 million mobile customers in February. China Mobile ended March with a total of 939.59 million customers. China Unicom added 2.95 million mobile subscribers in the month to a total of 309.29 million at 31 March.
China Mobile reached 188.7 million 5G subscribers during March, adding more than 15.5 million during the month. China Telecom also added over 24.73 million 5G users, for a total of 111.23 million. China Unicom saw 7.30 million net additions of 5G subscribers in the month, ending March with a total of 91.85 million 5G users.
In the fixed market, China Mobile adding around 2.7 million broadband connections to reach a total of over 218.41 million at end-March. China Telecom added 3.02 million new connections, for a total 161.55 million. China Unicom added 964,000 fixed-line broadband subscribes in March, to reach a total of 88.12 million at the end of the month.
