China Telecom CEO under probe for 'disciplinary violations'

China Telecom has announced that, according to the information disclosed on the website of CPC Central Commission for Discipline and Ministry of Supervision of the People's Republic of China, Chang Xiaobing, the former chairman of China United Network Communications Group and the current chairman of China Telecommunications, is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities for suspected serious disciplinary violations. Xiaobing is chairman of the board and CEO of China Telecom. China Telecom also reports it currently maintains normal business operations.
