China Telecom president appointed to MIIT
China Telecom president, chief operating officer and executive director Shang Bing has resigned from the company to take up a government position. Shang Bing resigned per 13 July as he has been appointed deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
