
China Unicom launches 4G in 25 cities

China Unicom has launched its 4G services in 25 cities. The company plans to introduce the service in 300 cities by year-end, Xinhua reports. The company said it still considers its 3G network a priority and is adding 4G to "hotspot" areas, Unicom's general manager for marketing, Xiong Yu, said. China Unicom will charge for 4G and 3G services together. The operator also released around 60 devices, including 25 devices that support the company's 4G network.
