Cisco to acquire Embrane

Cisco has announced plans to acquire Embrane, a provider of a lifecycle management platform for application-centric network services. The Embrane team will help Cisco expand its strategy of offering freedom of choice to its customers through the Nexus product portfolio and enhance the capabilities of Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). 

The Embrane team will be joining the Insieme Business Unit. Cisco expects the acquisition to be complete before the end of the current quarter. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cisco Systems has announced its intent to acquire OTT video services provider 1 Mainstream for an undisclosed sum in a bid to provide customers with improved cloud-based and live-streaming services.
