Cisco said it plans to invest BRL 1 billion (over USD 540 million) over four years in Brazil to support innovation, industrial transformation and socio-economic development. The group will make new investments in its innovation centre in Rio de Janeiro, in its Brazilian ICT venture capital fund and in manufacturing. The fourth pilar for the new investment is in intellectual property contracts and joint development alliances with Brazilian companies and entities.
