Colombia's ETB to invest COP 1.2 tln in fibre push

Colombian operator Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota (ETB), owned by Bogota city council, has committed to investing some CLP 1.2 trillion (around USD 330 million) over the next 4 years to increase its fibre-optic coverage to 90 percent of the capital's metropolitan area, reports El Tiempo, citing the company's president Sergio Gonzalez. The executive said the plan is to reach 75 percent coverage in Bogota and Soacha by the end of this year before expanding to localities including Bosa, Kennedy, Los Martires, Antonio Narino, Rafael Uribe, Engativa, Fontibon, Puente Aranda, Teusaquillo,
