Following the approval by Dutch regulator ACM for Combell’s acquisition of TransIP, the two web hosting companies have announced they will move forward as Team.blue. The merged entity will carry a valuation of over USD 1 billion and supply digital tools such as hosting, email and applications to over 1.2 million customers across Europe, with a base of over 600 employees. The merged company, which will provide services in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, aims to further extend its geographic reach across Europe.

Jonas Dhaenens, the founder of Combell, and Ali Niknam, the founder of TransIP and Bunq, hope to further consolidate the hosting market and have other founders join Team.blue. Dhaenens will become the new company’s CEO while Niknam will remain a major investor and join the board of directors.
