Cote d'Ivoire mobile market sees 9.6% revenue drop in Q1

The combined revenues reported by Cote d'Ivoire's three mobile network operators fell to XOF 209 billion in the first three months of the year, according to the latest quarterly report from telecom regulator ARTCI. This represents a year-on-year fall of 9.6 percent, compared to the growth of 5.6 percent achieved in Q1 2018. Orange held a 47 percent share of the total, down from 49 percent in the year earlier period, followed by MTN (30% down from 31%) and Moov (23% up from 20%).
