Carphone Warehouse Group has increased its full-year EPS guidance from 13.5-14.0 pence to 14.5-15.0 pence. It expects CPW Europe to deliver EBIT growth of 15-20 percent for FY 2011, with full-year like-for-like sales up 0.9 percent and connections down 5.2 percent, in line with previous guidance. The lower connections reflects the previously reported lower demand for high-end prepay connections and more recently the impact of the shift from 18-month to 24-month contracts in the UK from mid-2009 onwards. In its fiscal fourth quarter to March, CPW Europe saw like-for-like sales fall 1.7 percent and connections fall 8.8 percent year-on-year to 2.6 million. CPW Europe had a total of 106 Wireless World store at the end of the fiscal year, with the company aiming for up to 400 by end-March 2012. Best Buy Mobile US reported Q4 connections growth of 25.9 percent to 1.8 million and full-year connections growth of 28.2 percent to 7.1 million. At the end of March, Best Buy Mobile had 190 stand-alone stores and 1,101 stores within a Best Buy 'Big Box' store.
