Debitel to acquire Talkline Netherlands
Debitel Nederland, the Dutch subsidiary of Swisscom's Debitel announced that it is to acquire the Dutch unit Talkline of TDC's Talkline Deutschland. There were no financial details disclosed. Debitel Nederland expects it will achieve substantial growth in margins and earnings due to synergies from the merger. The aim is to close the deal in November. No comment was given on rumours that Debitel is planning to buy the whole of Talkline.
