Deutsche Telekom mulls sale of UK, Dutch units - report
Deutsche Telekom is considering the sale of its units in the UK and the Netherlands, Financial Times Deutschland reported. According to company sources, Telekom has already considered selling the units, but decided to give their management teams time to improve results first. It will reassess its position in 2013. The company is under pressure because of a promised dividend of EUR 0.70 per share, additional investments in the US and investment on fibre optic network expansion. According to experts, Telekom might sell its shares in UK company Everything Everywhere, a joint venture with France Telecom. The company might also sell its mobile subsidiaries in other European countries. Telekom refused to comment on the matter.
