Deutsche Telekom presents TechBoost start-up programme

Deutsche Telekom launched its TechBoost programme at CeBit, investing EUR 10 million into start-ups with cloud solutions. The TechBoost programme provides EUR 100,000 per start-up to purchase ICT resources and capacities from the Deutsche Telekom Cloud, along with sales and marketing support. Start-ups will also get special rates on mobile and fixed network services. In some cases, the programme will also provide the option for a full-fledged partnership with Deutsche Telekom for joint development of business models or sales.

Deutsche Telekom aims to help 100 start-ups move into the cloud, according to a statement. Start-ups can apply for the programme at telekom.de/TechBoost.

DocuSign services will now be available via the Deutsche Telekom secure cloud in Germany and Europe, operating out of data centres in Frankfurt and Paris. Deutsche Telekom will begin marketing DocuSign in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with the wider EMEA region to follow in 2018. DocuSign provides a management platform for paperless transaction and electronic signatures.

Deutsche Telekom announced the addition of a new cloud telephony system to its portfolio. DeutschlandLAN NFon is based on the IP telephony system from German supplier Nfon, which targets small and medium-sized businesses. Deutsche Telekom debuts smart counter for drinking glasses

Deutsche Telekom has partnered with glass manufacturer Rastal to produce a digital bar counter with intelligent glasses. Introduced at CeBit, the digital system networks glasses with the bar counter. The Smartglass has an integrated chip containing information about the glass capacity, drink type and time and place of dispensing. When the glass is placed on the smart counter, a sensor in the counter reads the information and sends it via an integrated SIM card to the Telekom Cloud of Things.

Deutsche Telekom start-up incubator hub:raum has thrown its support behind Reparando, a service to repair mobile phones. Reparando currently operates in 20 German cities and has carried out 10,000 repairs since its inception in 2015. The company's technicians are able to repair mobile devices in a short timeframe and then deliver these back to the customer's business.
