
Wireless local loop operator Diallog has acquired additional licences to operate across Pakistan in a single frequency spectrum of 450 MHz. Diallog will roll out and operate a wireless broadband data network in the region based on CDMA EV-DO third generation technology. The network will offer a peak data rate of 3 Mbps and users will be able to send and receive large files, e-mail with attachments, high resolution photographs and personal videos from portable devices. The network will feature IP-based broadband architecture and will support time-sensitive interactive applications such as VoIP and video telephony.
