Digicel BVI launches home LTE service from USD 79/mth

British Virgin Islands (BVI) operator Digicel has finally activated its 4G LTE service around six months after the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) awarded the company spectrum in the 700MHz band for LTE use. The service, branded as 'lightning fast', will be initially available in parts of Tortola and Virgin Gorda, with stores in the localities offering a range of LTE-enabled smartphones. At the same time, the company also announced its first Digicel home offering, from USD 79 per month. Subscribers to the LTE Home Plan will receive a free LTE router, with those signing up to
