Digicel Barbados has announced that its triple-play broadband, pay-TV and telephony service 'Digicel Play' has reached the 20,000 customer mark just over a year after launching. The rollout has been helped by the installation of 1,000 kilometres of fibre-optic cables over the past six months, Digicel CEO Charlie Clementson told local daily the Barbados Advocate. The executive added that he hoped fixed number portability would be launched by 2018 to help it compete for landline customers with CWC's Flow service.
