Digital Realty sells 11 data centres in Europe for USD 680 mln

Digital Realty said it has completed the sale 11 data centres in Europe to Ascendas Reit for USD 680 million. The portfolio of data centres includes four in the UK, sold for GBP 250.25 million, plus three in the Netherlands, three in France and one in Switzerland, together sold for USD 276.85.

Digital Realty said the sale was an important step towards self-funding growth and diversifying sources of capital. The company said it wants to shrink its asset base and redeploy the proceeds into more income-generating investment opportunities, such as the continued expansion of its PlatformDigital. The money will also go towards paying down debt.

Digital Realty lifts guidance for FFO after higher revenues, profit in Q1

Data centre operator Digital Realty reported higher results for the first quarter, with revenues rising 32 percent from the year before to USD 1.1 billion and the net profit attributable to shareholders jumping to USD 372 million or USD 1.32 per share, from 202.86 million or 0.90 per share. As a result, the company has lifted its core FFO per share outlook to USD 6.50-6.55, from its previous guidance of 6.40-6.50.

Digital Realty expands access to Google Cloud global network in 5 metros

Digital Realty has expanded private access to Google Cloud's global network in five key metros. These new on-ramps will enable direct, high-speed, low-latency connections on Digital Realty's Atlanta and Los Angeles connected campuses in the US as well as Vienna in Austria and Dusseldorf in Germany. Digital Realty also added a second direct interconnect to Google Cloud in Frankfurt.

Digital Realty lifts quarterly dividend by 4%

Digital Realty has lifted its quarterly cash dividend by 4 percent to USD 1.16 per share. The company, which expects its results for 2021 to pass those of 2020, said the dividend increase reflects its confidence in the underlying strength of its business as well as in the strength of its recurring cash flows. The company said it has raised its dividend every year since its IPO in 2004.

Digital Realty guides for higher FFO in 2021 after 35% revenue lift in Q4

Data centre operator Digital Realty reported higher revenues for the fourth quarter and full-year results in-line with expectations, The company is now guiding for higher core FFO for 2021, at USD 6.40-6.50 per share. For full year 2020, core FFO per share slid to USD 6.22 from 6.65, while revenues advanced to USD 3.9 billion from 3.2 billion.
