India's Department of Telecom (DoT) has pre-qualified all applicants for the auctions of 1800 MHz and the 800 MHz spectrum. The auction for 1800 MHz spectrum will begin on 12 November and the auction for the 800 MHz spectrum will start two days after the conclusion of the 1800 MHz auction. The pre-qualified bidders for the 1800 MHz auction are Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone South, Telewings Communications Services (Telenor), and Videocon Telecommunications. Applicants for the 800 MHz auction are Tata Teleservices and Videocon Telecommunications.
