Dtac's Q3 net profit plunges 8.8% year-on-year, revenue down 3.7%

Thursday 19 October 2017 | 09:51 CET | News
Thai mobile operator Dtac's net profit reached THB 601 million in the third quarter of 2017, which represents a decline of 19 percent quarter-on-quarter and 8.8 percent year-on-year. The decline was mainly due to the depreciation and amortization expenses, which was partly offset by a one-time income of THB 134 million related to PaySbuy transaction, Dtac said. EBITDA rose 7.2 percent year-on-year to THB 7.74 billion and EBITDA margin climbed to 41.2 percent from 41 in the second quarter of 2017 and 37 percent in the third quarter of 2016.
