
Dutchtone wants to grow in a controlled way in the high-end part of the market. By 2007 the Dutch subsidiary of Orange SA wants to have between 13 and 15 percent revenue share, in the Dutch market. At the end of 2002, the revenue share for Dutchtone was 8% and grew with 10.9%. The Dutch market is the sixth biggest mobile market in Europe. According to Marc Gommers, director strategy, in an interview with Bloomberg, a European player needs to have presence in the Netherlands. The very high penetration of mobile and Internet may speed up the adoption of mobile data services.
