E-Plus CEO Uwe Bergheim aims at continuing to increase the company's market share at the cost of Deutsche Telekom's fixed network, reports the Financial Times Deutschland. E-Plus has an action tariff which enables German customers to call to all fixed networks in Germany for EUR 0.03 per minute. Bergheim: "Every one of two new customers has chosen this action tariff." He has no high expectations of his company's mobile data revenue, even with the upcoming introduction of UMTS services, which will be no more than 20% of the total revenues, according to Bergheim. He said in an interview with the newspaper that broadband services are only financially interesting for operators with a fixed network, while mobile operators should target the voice market. Bergheim: "In 2010 80% of all voice calls will be made on mobile networks."
