Ebbers gets 25 years for WorldCom fraud
Former WorldCom CEO Bernie Ebbers has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for running a USD 11 billion fraud, amounting to a life term. The judge said that anything less would not have reflected the seriousness of the crime. The once high-flying US telecoms company was subject to the biggest fraud in US corporate history.
