Ericsson has appointed Hans Vestberg as vice president, general manager and head of Business Unit Global Services, effective July 1. He will be a member of the Ericsson Corporate Management Team. Hans Vestberg has over the past 12 years served in a number of different capacities within Ericsson, most recently as head of market unit Mexico since 2002. Prior to his position in Mexico he was CFO North America and controller market area Americas. Born in 1965, Hans Vestberg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Uppsala University, Sweden. Gerhard Weise was today appointed head of market unit Mexico, effective July 1, 2003. He will also continue as head of market area Americas, a position he has held since fall of 2001.
