Ericsson to cut 450 jobs in Sweden

Ericsson announced plans to cut around 450 jobs in Sweden. A new regional structure in its business there, including streamlined management, will lead to 400 job losses in Stockholm and 50 in Gothenborg. The changes mainly affect sales and administration. At the same time, Ericsson said it is hiring 250 engineers, mainly to work on LTE research and development. Ericsson said it will offer voluntary redundancy packages to the employees affected. Ericsson employs in total over 17,800 people in Sweden.
