Ericsson unveils broadband network gateway
Ericsson has introduced broadband network gateway for connected homes. Using the Smart Services Router (SSR 8000) family as a platform, Ericsson's enhanced Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) is designed to accelerate the adoption of cloud and video services in connected homes. The BNG opens opportunities for fixed and converged service providers to offer broadband and personalised services, supporting the growth of smart devices in the home. Ericsson BNG on SSR 8000 offers a range of interfaces, supports 100-gigabit performance, supporting monetisation of demanding cloud and HD video streaming services.
