Facebook Messenger installed on 7 million Dutch smartphones

The popularity of voice and instant messaging applications in the Netherlands continues to grow. The top three such apps installed by Dutch smartphone users - WhatsApp, Facebook and Facebook Messenger –show a steady increase in penetration over the past year. Facebook Messenger is installed on 57 percent of Dutch smartphones, equal to almost 7.0 million devices. This makes it the third most popular voice and instant messaging app in the country, according to the latest edition of Telecompaper's Dutch Apps Market report.
