
FiberNet Telecom revenue rises

FiberNet Telecom Group, leading provider of complex metro data services, has announced its results for Q2 2005. Revenues were USD 8.4 million, up from USD 7.9 million in the year-earlier period. Revenues from transport and colocation services (excluding revenues from access management services) grew by 10.9 percent. Transport services accounted for 76.3 percent of the total revenues On-net transport revenues were 59.1 percent of total revenues, and off-net transport revenues were 17.2 percent of total revenues. Colocation services and access management services represented 21.1 percent and 2.6 percent of revenues, respectively. FiberNet's number of customers also increased to 219 as of 30 June 2005, up from 190 at end-Q2 2004. The net loss for Q2 2005 was USD 5.9 million, compared to a net loss of USD 14.3 million in the year-earlier. Capital expenditures were USD 0.5 million, down from USD 0.7 million for each of the quarters ended 31 March 2005 and 30 June 2004.
