
Ford Motor Company said it has hired Musa Tariq as VP and chief brand officer –a new position- as part of its expansion to an auto and a mobility company and to help push its drive to further connecting and engage with consumers. Tariq , set to start at Ford from 30 January, joins from Apple, where he was the global marketing and communications (social media) director for retail.
In the new role, Tariq will be responsible for further building and differentiating the company’s Ford brand. He will report jointly to Stephen Odell, head of Global Marketing, Sales and Service, and to Ray Day, VP Communications.
