Four operators  request tender docs for Turk Telecom stake
Deutsche Telekom is reportedly interested in acquiring Turkish telecoms operator Turk Telecom reports the Turkish newspaper Milliyet. Deutsche Telekom and its competitors Telefonica, Telecom Italia, Belgacom as well as the Saudi company Suudi Oger have requested the tender documents for the sale of the 55 percent stake in Turk Telecom. The company launched the tender in November 2004 and companies have until 31 May to return their bid. The decision which bid will be approved will be taken in June or July.
