Foursquare raises USD 50 mln
Location-based services provider Foursquare has raised another USD 50 million from Andreessen-Horowitz, O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures and Union Square Ventures, as well as Spark Capital. The additional capital will help the company add engineers, develop its merchant offerings, expand internationally, and try new services. In the last year, Foursquare has grown from 15 employees to over 70, and its user community increased from under 1 million to over 10 million.

Foursquare CEO wants to grow to between 10 and 20 mln users

A partner for mobile localisation service Foursquare is not ruled out by co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley in an interview with German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
