Foxtel relaunches streaming service as Foxtel Now

Australian pay-TV provider Foxtel has introduced ‘Foxtel Now’, a revamped version of its streaming TV service Foxtel Play. Customers can choose from a range of bundles, with no set-up costs and the ability to cancel at any time.

Foxtel Now offers HD streaming on select devices, combined with a new user interface and the ability to stream Foxtel Now to the big screen via Google Chromecast. Foxtel Now features five entry-level packs, including Drama and Pop packs for AUD 15 per month each or AUD 25 for both. Lifestyle, Docos and Kids packs are available at AUD 10 per month each.

Foxtel Now’s Movies pack is available for AUD 20 per month in addition to an entry-level pack, and the Sport pack is available for an extra AUD 29 per month.

Foxtel Now is available on PC/Mac via the Google Chrome browser, Telstra TV, iOS and Android mobiles and tablets, and Chromecast. Other devices will be added in the coming months, Foxtel said. Until then, PlayStation 3 & 4, Xbox One and select smart TVs are able to stream Foxtel content in SD via the Foxtel Play app.

Subscribers will have access to all linear services in the tier along with all of the on-demand, catch up and library content available to that tier plus mobile and tablet access via the new Foxtel Now app. At launch there will be over 16,000 titles in the on-demand library, half of them in HD, with more HD content being added all the time.
