Free adds 390,000 mobile customers in Q3

French telecom group Iliad, which operates under the Free brand, said it had 17.4 million subscribers at the end of September, compared to 16.92 million three months earlier and 16.47 million a year earlier. 

The company added 390,000 mobile customers to reach 11.32 million, up on 10.53 million at the end of September 2014. Mobile revenue rose 11.4 percent to EUR 651 million from EUR 642 million in the year-earlier quarter. Mobile service revenue rose by 8 percent on last year. Free also added LTE at 657 sites in its latest quarter. 

Free signed up 91,000 new broadband customers in the quarter. Fixed operations growth accelerated, with revenue rising 1.4 percent on last year to EUR 651 million. Broadband ARPU was stable at EUR 34.50 a month and Freebox Revolution ARPU was over EUR 38 a month.
