French govt loses appeal case against Google over EUR 1.1 bln back-tax bill

The administrative court of appeal in Paris has confirmed a ruling in favour of Google dating back to 2017, when the company won a case against the French government over a EUR 1.1 billion tax adjustment. The country's tax authority had demanded the payment for the 2005-2010 period, arguing that Google dodged French taxes by routing sales through Ireland.
